26th June 2026The new UNESCO UK Industrial Trail brings together 22 UNESCO designations in celebration of the United Kingdom’s internationally significant industrial heritage to form a trail for enthusiasts to explore.
The Forth Bridge will be marking the launch of the new Industrial Trail with a free exhibition and short talks on Friday 26th June, 10am-4pm in the Contact Exhibition Centre in South Queensferry (EH30 9SF).
The Forth Bridge history group, The Briggers, will have talks and riveting demonstrations at 1130, 1230 and 230.

The Industrial Trail has been supported with funding from the United Kingdom National Commission for UNESCO Local to Global project and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Forth Bridges Trail
The Forth Bridges Trail offers a great introduction to the bridges and local area.It takes in many points of historic interest, introduces local tales and folklore, and offers some incredible panoramic views.
A circular five mile route, the trail can easily be completed in a day. Take a picnic or stop off to sample the cafes along the way.
Walk or cycle, experience an epic train ride across The Forth Bridge and enjoy a boat trip on the Firth of Forth.
